Happy New Year!

2009!

So what is the latest and greatest? Well, the girls and I have been especially busy these days-- Dad is out to sea so we have had our hands full. Thank heaven he comes home at the end of the week. I'm not used to this single parent stuff!

We all had a wonderful holiday...as you can see in the posts below. We're slowly but surely getting back into the groove of things. That two weeks off seemed like forever! Actually, it was more like three weeks off because Miss Nicole missed a week of school with a bad stomach. She was SICK! She lost 3 lbs and we all know she didn't have those to lose. She now weighs 1 lb less than Aubrey. Haha!

Aubrey just had her ENT check-up. She's down a tube! Her left one is no longer in the ear drum...it's chillin in the canal in some wax. They say it should fall out on it's own. And if she starts getting infections in that ear they will consider putting another one in. If not, in a year or so they will remove the other one as well. I'm just thankful it didn't fall out of the other ear...the one that the bulk of her ear infections were in.

I started school yesterday! One class- haha! I'll keep you posted on how I'm doing. It's friggin expensive!!! If we don't win the lottery it is going to be slow going at these prices!

I'll be back in a month or so after we take the girls on a ski trip with cousin Madeline. They have never been so it should be interesting! I am going to predict that Aubrey will love it and Nicole will be scared to death. Haha!

I wish you all a Happy & Healthy New Year!!! Miss you!

GO STEELERS!

Party party!

We had a New Year's Eve party! Not too many of us, but boy, we had a friggin blast! No one was in a bad mood, everyone got along, no one puked or peed on anything for that matter, and we all stayed up until at least 5am.

I realize this is a "family" site, so I am only posted pics that I find semi appropriate- haha! Oh, the cardboard dude is our neighbor, Rob- he's on deployment until April. His wife, Brandee didn't want him to miss out on the fun! And the microphone belongs to the girls. We used it the entire night....if I wasn't singing into it, Mike was announcing everything that was happening. Hilarious!

Pittsburgh Sports Extravaganza

FUN! FUN! FUN! A Penguins game & Steelers game in less than 24 hours. It was awesome! Thanks to everyone that made it possible!

Christmas in Pittsburgh

So we arrived on Christmas Eve for the big event at Mike's parents' house. That's when the fun started and it pretty much didn't stop the entire time we were there. The kids had a wonderful Christmas and got everything they wanted and then some. We were quite spoiled ourselves! We got to leave the girls up there for the remainder of their vacation to spend time with Pap & Grandma. They had lots of fun too!

I want to apologize to Mike Smith for not snapping a photo of him while we were there. He said he reads & loves the blog and wanted to be in it. Next time we are in town I'll get a shot of you!!!

The Clubhouse

We have a new clubhouse in the neighborhood! These pictures were taken at the grand opening before Christmas. Anyway, it's pretty sweet. Huge rec room, kids play room (where I can leave them and use the gym next door), a gorgeous kitchen and then some other random rooms that are all available to us! We can even use them to have parties-- for FREE!
